This Privacy Policy explains how Trendopic (“Trendopic,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Trendopic mobile application (the “App”). By using the App, you agree to the practices described here.
Trendopic displays trending topics sourced from Google Trends. Browsing trends does not send your personal information to Google Trends.

Where the GDPR applies, we process personal data on these legal bases: performance of a contract (to provide the App), consent (for personalized advertising and optional notifications), legitimate interests (to secure and improve the App), and legal obligation where applicable. You may withdraw consent at any time.
We use Google AdMob to display ads. On iOS, we request permission through App Tracking Transparency before any personalized advertising. You can change this at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. AdMob’s handling of data is described in Google’s Privacy Policy. A subscription is available that removes ads.

We do not sell your personal information. Your public profile name and the comments you post are visible to other users. We share data only with the service providers listed above, or when required by law, or to protect the rights and safety of our users.
We keep personal data only as long as needed to provide the App. You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete account. When you do:
Some records may be retained longer where required by law. Aggregated or anonymized data that cannot identify you may be kept.
Depending on where you live (including under the GDPR, UK GDPR, Turkey’s KVKK, and the CCPA/CPRA), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your data, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. To exercise these rights, contact us at the address below. We do not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
Trendopic is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
We use industry-standard measures, including encryption in transit, to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your information may be processed on servers located outside your country, including in the United States. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will revise the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the App. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
